The Don Bosco Oratory, Matunga, came alive with excitement and creativity on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as Fr George Miranda and the dedicated teachers of the oratory led the children in a vibrant evening activity themed “My Dream World.” Held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the program invited every child to imagine and express a world where love for creation and a sense of responsibility shape the future.
The evening began with a warm welcome and a short reflection by Fr Miranda, who encouraged the young participants to dream big while keeping their hearts grounded in God’s beautiful gift of creation. He reminded them that every dream carries with it a responsibility—“The world we imagine begins with the choices we make today.”
Guided by the oratory teachers, the children worked in groups to bring their “dream world” to life through colorful charts filled with drawings, words, and symbols of hope. Each group poured their creativity into imagining lush green spaces, pollution-free cities, and caring communities where people live in harmony with nature and one another.
A highlight of the evening was the sharing session, where each person and group proudly presented their charts and explained the meaning behind their dreams. Their reflections beautifully connected the joy of imagination with the urgent call to protect the environment, echoing Pope Francis’ invitation in Laudato Si’ to care for our common home.
What made the event especially significant was its underlying message: responsibility begins with me. Through their presentations and discussions, the children reflected on simple yet powerful actions—reducing waste, planting trees, conserving water, and respecting all forms of life. By linking imagination with action, the oratory helped the young participants see that every small effort contributes to building a better world.
The session concluded with a collective pledge, where the children promised to nurture creation in their daily lives. Their cheerful voices and hopeful hearts filled the oratory with a renewed sense of purpose, proving that when guided with love and faith, dreams can indeed inspire real change.
The “My Dream World” activity was more than just a fun gathering—it was a gentle yet profound reminder that the future depends on today’s choices. As Fr Miranda and the oratory team continue to accompany these young dreamers, Don Bosco’s vision of forming responsible, faith-filled citizens shines brighter than ever.
