The day began with a prayer service led by the youth of St. Joseph’s Church.
Following the prayer, Fr Shaun, Youth Delegate of Don Bosco Makarpura, extended a warm welcome to all participants and engaged the gathering with exciting ice-breaker activities.
A significant highlight of the day was a session on leadership conducted by Fr Kaushik, Youth Director of Baroda Diocese, along with Fr Edwin Anand, Youth Director of Ahmedabad Diocese. They emphasized the roles and responsibilities of youth at the deanery level, inspiring the participants to be proactive leaders in their faith communities.
The program then moved to the much-awaited elections of the deanery office bearers. Youth Presidents from each parish were invited, and after voting, the following were elected: Darren Lobo as President, Abin Thomas as Vice President, Wilson as the Secretary, and Jenis Fernandes as Joint Secretary.
The celebration continued with a Holy Mass, presided over by Fr Brian Moras SDB as the main celebrant, joined by other priests. This was followed by a fellowship lunch featuring a delicious chicken biryani that everyone relished.
In the afternoon, the youth showcased their talents with gospel dances and action songs, reflecting both creativity and devotion. The energy soared during a 45-minute Zumba session led by Fr Shaun and his youth team, filling the hall with music, movement, and joy.
Towards the close, Fr Jesu, Dean of Youth Diocese, addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude to the priests, sisters, and youth for their wholehearted participation. The day concluded on a high note with a dance and garba session, where all the youth danced with enthusiasm and unity.
