Mumbai, 13 September 2025 – The Don Bosco Oratory came alive with colour, joy and youthful enthusiasm as 100 children gathered at Don Bosco High School for a special Season of Creation activity focused on caring for our common home.
The afternoon began with groups of youngsters brainstorming and designing eco-posters carrying messages of environmental responsibility. Using paper, paints and even recycled materials, the children translated their ideas into striking visuals with slogans such as “Don’t Be Mean, Go Green” and “Save Our Earth”.
Once the artwork was complete, each team presented their poster to the entire Oratory community, confidently explaining the meaning behind their creations and suggesting practical ways to protect the planet—reducing waste, planting trees, conserving water and using resources wisely. Their passion and creativity reflected Pope Francis’ call in Laudato Si’ to care for our common home.
The colourful staircase setting, crowned by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, reminded everyone that faith and action go hand in hand: to love God is to cherish His creation. The event concluded with a collective pledge to adopt simple eco-friendly habits in daily life.
This Season of Creation celebration not only highlighted the children’s artistic gifts but also planted seeds of ecological awareness, proving that small hearts and hands can inspire big changes.
