Nerul, Navi Mumbai: Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, organized a memorable Educational Tour to Hyderabad and Secunderabad from October 25 to 29, 2025 for students of Grades VII to XII, under the guidance of Ms Vivena Rodrigues. A total of 117 students embarked on this enlightening journey that beautifully blended academia with adventure, history with innovation, and learning with laughter.
The five-day tour aimed to broaden horizons beyond classroom learning, nurturing curiosity, independence, and cultural sensitivity through meaningful real-world experiences.
The journey began on October 25, as students boarded the Duronto Express from Mumbai, their hearts brimming with excitement. Upon arrival at Serene Resort & Convention Hotel, they were warmly welcomed to the 'City of Pearls.' In the evening, the group explored the grand Golconda Fort, a marvel of medieval engineering renowned for its whispering acoustics, ingenious water supply system, and panoramic hilltop view of Hyderabad. Students were captivated by tales of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and the legendary diamond market where the famous Koh-i-Noor once shone. The day concluded with a lively DJ night, echoing laughter and bonding.
The visit to Ramoji Film City on October 27 was a dream come true for many. Spread across 1,666 acres, it is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest film studio complex. Students witnessed the magic of cinema come alive—experiencing film sets, stunt shows, sound design, and post-production effects. The enthralling Spirit of Ramoji performance and the breathtaking Space Show transported them into the world of imagination, artistry, and technology.
On October 28, students delved into innovation and artistry at the Sudha Cars Museum, marveling at vehicles crafted in the shapes of handbags, cameras, and even burgers! The Salar Jung Museum, home to timeless global treasures, offered insights into world civilizations and artistry. The thrilling Snow World experience, followed by a serene boat ride on Hussain Sagar Lake and a traditional Hyderabadi dinner at Paradise Biryani, wrapped the day in cultural delight.
Throughout the journey, students exhibited commendable discipline, enthusiasm, and teamwork. The tour not only deepened their knowledge but also strengthened their appreciation for India’s historical and creative legacy.
The Educational Tour to Hyderabad thus stood as a voyage of experiential learning, inspiring young minds to explore, reflect, and rediscover the joy of learning beyond boundaries.
