On a blessed evening, the youth from Don Bosco Savedi, St John’s Bhingar, and St Anne’s Parishes united as a single Marian family—many voices, one heart—to celebrate Marian Nite. This vibrant event was a rich tapestry of prayer, creativity, and joyful fellowship, reflecting the spirit of Our Lady in every moment.
The evening began with group formation and a warm welcome from Fr Richard Burkhao and Fr Mavron Fernandes, alongside two young comperes, who set a tone of unity and celebration. A solemn prayer service led by youth seeking the intercession of Mother Mary into their midst, elevating hearts in reverence. This was followed by an inspiring welcome address from Fr Vishwas Pereira, who encouraged all attendees to journey with Mary in faith. A lively action song, led by Fr Richard Burkhao and Sr Reshma Rosario from the Auxilium Convent, infused the hall with energy and gratitude, thanking the Lord for the beautiful evening.
Throughout the night, a series of engaging activities unfolded. Sr Sarika from the Sacred Heart Convent animated a Marian-themed cross puzzle, while Fr Pereira conducted three quiz rounds on the Blessed Mother, that tested the youth’s knowledge of Marian themes. Youth representatives from Bhingar and St Anne’s brought enthusiasm to the games segment. The love for our Blessed Mother was expressed through group hymn singing, slogan creation, hymn guessing, dramatic enactments of Mary’s sayings, and a Marian picture puzzle—each activity deepening devotion and joy. These activities were facilitated by the clergy, religious sisters, and youth representatives, fostering a spirit of collaboration and community.
The organizing committee, comprising Fr Vishwas Pereira, Fr Richard Burkhao, Fr Mavron Fernandes, Fr McEnroe Lopes and Sr Reshma Rosario, along with youth representatives from all three parishes, dedicated themselves to bringing this event to fruition. The Sisters from Auxilium Convent and Sacred Heart Convent graciously served as judges, contributing their wisdom and grace to the evening's proceedings.
Special recognition is due to the Don Bosco Savedi youth for their exceptional compering and meticulous arrangements. Their commitment was evident in the beautifully decorated hall and the seamless coordination throughout the event. We extend our gratitude to Fr Lopes for his planning efforts and to all organizers who ensured the smooth execution of games, prize distributions, and activities.
The prize distribution ceremony celebrated creativity, teamwork, and devotion. A heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Fr Burkhao acknowledged every individual who contributed to the success of the Marian Nite. Prior to sharing the meal, Fr Pereira offered a prayer of gratitude, blessing both the food and the fellowship shared among attendees.
This Marian Youth Gathering transcended a mere event; it was a journey of faith, unity, and joy. May we carry Mary’s light into our lives, inspired by her unwavering "yes" to God.
