By Miss Sophiya and Mr. Vimal for BIS Mumbai
The Natives and the vicinity of Alirajpur witnessed the thanksgiving day on November 19, 2025 which was set aside as a thanksgiving for all the achievements of the institute. The entire annual day was a reminder of the sacrifices done by the guardians who gave up their dreams in order to furnish the dream of the children, and this allowed the institute to create the beautiful dramatic theme for the annual day, ‘Udaan: Wings of Sacrifice’.
The event began at 5 p.m. with the escorting of the chief guest Ms Niddi Mishra, the Deputy Collector and the District Education Officer of Alirajpur, the Guest of Honor, Fr Matthew Katara, Sr Jeevan Bara and the other jubilarians who had given their 25 years of service to the Institute; Mrs Sophiya Khan, the primary coordinator, Mr Issu, Mr Nawal, Mr Bhursingh, Mrs. Chaturiben and other dignitaries present. The school community prayed to the Almighty God to bless the occasion, invoking his name through the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the prayer dance performed with lively music. In his greeting words Fr Cyril D’Souza, the manager and Rector welcomed the chief guest, all the luminaries, jubilarians, dignitaries, parents and all the well-wishers, followed by welcome dance.
The Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, all the jubilarians and other dignitaries were felicitated. The book ‘Young Minds Silent Cries’ was released which was authored by the previous student’s council of 2024-2025, edited and guided by the Liberian and Co-Liberian. Miss Niddi Mishra put forward her words of appreciation for the overall growth of the students. She was then requested to award all the achievers of the institute; the district toppers, academic toppers, the sports medallists at different level and the Ideal Boys, and Ideal Girls of both Secondary and Higher secondary section.
The musical drama ‘Udaan: Wings of Sacrifice’ was a tale of a love, struggle and of the silence of parents who gave wings to the dreams of their children. The dances with lively singing brought more power to the story.
Fr Charlin pooled all his emotions in the vote of thanks for all the people who spent their quality time in order to prepare for this beautiful evening.
