The Pre-Primary Sports Day of Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, was celebrated with great excitement and school spirit on December 5, 2025. The programme began with a solemn Guard of Honour, who escorted the Chief Guest along with Rector Fr. Royal, Principal Fr Rixson, and the members of the management, giving the event a dignified and ceremonial opening.
The gathering was warmly welcomed through a Welcome Speech by the Rector, followed by the formal Introduction of the Chief Guest, Ms Vaishali Sagar Khaire. Ms Khaire is an accomplished sportsperson and recipient of the prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Award (2009–10) for her exceptional achievements in Rowing. At the national level, she has secured 26 medals, including 3 Gold, 6 Silver, and 5 Bronze, reflecting her dedication and consistent excellence. On the state stage, she has earned 12 Gold Medals across two events over six consecutive years, along with the honour of being named Best Sports Player (M.V.P.). Academically accomplished, she holds a B.A. in Economics, B.P.Ed, a Yoga Diploma, a Yoga Degree, and serves as a certified Yog Shikshak. She currently works as a Sports Teacher at Ravindranath Tagore English Medium School, Dwarka, inspiring young learners through her commitment to sports.
To express gratitude, a bouquet and gift were presented to the Chief Guest. She then proceeded with the Flag Hoisting, officially marking the commencement of the Sports Day. This was followed by the melodious School Anthem, sung with pride by students and staff. The symbolic Lighting of the Torch represented courage, unity, and the spirit of sportsmanship. A Sr. KG student confidently administered the Sports Oath, promising fairness and enthusiasm.
The young students of Nursery, Jr. KG, and Sr. KG captivated the audience with a beautifully synchronized Drill Display, showcasing rhythm, discipline, and joyful energy. The Chief Guest then delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the children to stay active, confident, and determined.
The Principal presented the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging everyone’s efforts in making the celebration successful. The Chief Guest then declared the Sports Meet open, leading to the energetic Track Events, where the tiny athletes participated with eagerness and sportsmanship. The Prize Distribution Ceremony celebrated the winners, while the Parents’ Events added fun and involvement for families.
The ceremony concluded with the putting off of the Flame, followed by the National Anthem, marking a proud end to a memorable and vibrant Sports Day.
