The One-Day Scout, Guide & Cub Bulbul Camp was organized at Don Bosco School & Jr. College, Nashik, on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The camp, held under the inspiring theme “Hope for Better World,” aimed to nurture discipline, teamwork, leadership qualities, and essential life skills among the young participants. The entire programme was conducted under the able guidance of Scout Incharges Sir Santosh and Sir Satish, Guide Incharges Tr Laxmi and Tr Anagha, and with the support and encouragement of Principal Fr Rixson.
The day commenced with the reporting of students followed by attendance. The participants began with BP 6 exercises that energized them for the activities ahead. This was followed by the Sarva Dharma Prarthana, promoting unity, peace, and respect among all.
Students then engaged in tent pitching and decoration, an activity that encouraged teamwork and hands-on learning. The flag break ceremony added a sense of pride and discipline to the camp atmosphere. A knot and lashing session provided valuable training in basic scouting techniques and practical skills.
Post-lunch, the campers enthusiastically took part in gadget making, which highlighted their creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. An inspection followed, assessing their effort, discipline, and teamwork. One of the most engaging sessions was the Cooking Test—both with fire and without fire—which fostered self-reliance and survival skills among the students.
Another inspection ensured continued discipline and preparedness. The participants then prepared for skits, songs, and dance performances, which allowed them to explore their artistic talents. The theme presentation session provided an opportunity to express their ideas about creating a better world.
Towards the end, students dismantled their tents and gadgets, showcasing responsibility and organizational skills. The day concluded with snacks distribution followed by dispersal.
Overall, the camp proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience. With the dedicated guidance of the incharges and the encouragement of the school leadership, the camp successfully instilled values of teamwork, creativity, discipline, and hope in every participant.
