On November 22, 2025, Don Bosco High School, Chhotaudepur, celebrated its 35th Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. The event commenced at 8:30 a.m., marking the beginning of a memorable day filled with energy, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The programme began with the arrival of the torchbearers, who ran a remarkable 2-kilometre distance to the school grounds, symbolizing endurance, determination, and the igniting of the sportsman’s spirit. They were proudly accompanied by the house captains, who marched alongside them with dignity and pride. The lighting of the torch set a fitting tone for the day’s events.
The school was honoured to welcome Mr Malsinghbhai Rathwa, a former army personnel and a proud past pupil of our institution, as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour for the day was Mr Ravibhai Rathwa, an accomplished mountaineer and also an alumnus of Don Bosco Chhotaudepur. Both dignitaries were warmly greeted and presented with bouquets of flowers by the school management as a token of respect.
In his inspiring address, the Chief Guest fondly recalled his school days and shared how the values instilled at Don Bosco Chhotaudepur had motivated him to join the Indian Army. His words encouraged the students to cultivate discipline, courage, and perseverance in their lives.
The day witnessed a series of activities. The march past, performed by the four houses in perfect synchronization, showcased discipline and teamwork. This was followed by a vibrant mass drill, displaying the physical fitness and coordination of the students. A thrilling fire adventure show added excitement and captivated the audience.
The final rounds of various athletic events were conducted with great enthusiasm. Students competed in sprints, relays, jumps, and other field events, giving their best to make their houses proud. Winners were awarded medals and certificates, celebrating their hard work and achievements.
Special fun games for the staff and parents organized by Fr George Carlos, the Manager, added joy and highlighted the collaborative spirit of the Don Bosco family. Exciting events like the relay race and tug of war generated loud cheers and created memorable moments.
The event concluded at 11:20 a.m. with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the day a grand success. The 35th Annual Sports Day truly reflected the strength, spirit, and sportsmanship that define Don Bosco High School, Chhotaudepur.
