Don Bosco Chinchwad warmly welcomed the youth delegation from the Eichstatt, Germany Diocese, marking a vibrant occasion of international friendship and cultural exchange.
The event began with the DB-ACE students singing a heartfelt welcome song in Hindi, reflecting the joy of hosting their guests. The girls performed a traditional arti, symbolizing warm hospitality.
Master Pratik Torne, Technical Captain, officially welcomed the youth on behalf of the Don Bosco Management. The visitors toured all the workshops, interacting actively with students from various technical trades. This exchange highlighted the richness of a global community coming together to share knowledge and experiences.
The visiting youth expressed their excitement about meeting the students and learning about the technical skills taught at the institute.
The German youth were enthusiastic about sharing their experiences with the dual education system in Germany, which integrates both academic learning and practical training. Many expressed excitement about gaining hands-on experience with machinery in the workshop, a core component of the German dual system.
The principal presented an overview of the courses offered at the institute and explained the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) system in India. The ITI system focuses on vocational education and skill development, operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Participants engaged actively, asking many questions about technical subjects and training opportunities.
The principal's address helped clarify the structure and objectives of ITI education, and the participants' diverse questions reflected significant interest in technical fields and the vocational training pathway.
Later, at the administrative block, the guests enjoyed tea and snacks while engaging in conversations with the Management team. The youth also sang songs in German,expressing their gratitude and appreciation for Don Bosco’s dedication to education and community.
The Diocese of Eichstatt maintains a long-standing partnership with the Diocese of Poona, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. The visit to Don Bosco Chinchwad Technical Institute was one among several initiatives strengthening this meaningful bond.
The visit concluded with Vice Captain Master Moses Gudekar thanking the guests for their presence and appreciation, reinforcing bonds between the two youth communities. This memorable visit showcased the spirit of international cooperation and the shared passion for technical education and cultural exchange.
