The 31st Value Education Day was celebrated with joy, enthusiasm, and spiritual depth on January 14, 2026 at Don Bosco Kawant under the guidance of Fr Ashwin Macwan, Director Amrutdhara. This annual gathering is a meaningful platform for students of Standard IX to reflect on the values they have learned and to share their experiences with peers from other schools. Six schools from across Gujarat participated, making the event vibrant and enriching.
The participants arrived by 9 a.m. and were warmly welcomed by the host school. After a refreshing breakfast, the day began with energetic ice-breaker activities conducted by SYM volunteers, helping students interact freely and build a comfortable environment. Students were then divided into ten groups, each named after a core human value such as love, unity, compassion, honesty, and peace—symbolising the spirit of the celebration.
The formal programme began with a meaningful prayer service, setting a calm and reflective tone. The lighting of the lamp symbolised the spreading of wisdom and values. A graceful prayer dance by Don Bosco Kawant students beautifully expressed gratitude, devotion, and hope.
Fr Mayank, the Rector and Manager, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, emphasising the importance of value-based education in shaping responsible, compassionate, and morally grounded young citizens. His words motivated the students to continue nurturing these values in their daily lives.
The resource person, Mr Vijay D’Souza, a well known motivational speaker was felicitated by Fr Ajay Shalke, Principal, Don Bosco School Kawant.
In his inspiring session, Mr D’Souza spoke about the power of silence and attentive listening in today’s fast-paced world. He explained that silence helps individuals reflect deeply, understand themselves, and cultivate meaningful values. His interactive style kept the students engaged throughout.
He also guided group discussions through thought-provoking questions. Students shared personal experiences, reflected together, and prepared creative presentations showcasing their insights. The session promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and open expression.
After a delicious lunch, the afternoon session featured theme presentations based on “Hope Lights the Way.” Each school conveyed the theme through songs, skits, and dances. Their performances highlighted messages of perseverance, positivity, and faith, demonstrating how hope guides individuals through challenges and inspires a better future.
The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks by Fr Ashwin Macwan, appreciating the efforts of the participants, organizers, teachers, and volunteers. The day ended with tea, joyful conversations, and a sense of fulfillment.
The 31st Value Education Day was a memorable celebration, enriching students both intellectually and spiritually, and reinforcing the lifelong importance of human values.
