On September 12, 2025, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik organized a thought-provoking seminar for the students of Classes 9 to 12 and the staff members. The seminar was conducted by Mr Allwyn Quadros, an entrepreneur, who is currently working in the construction field, with a special focus on the construction of turf courts.
The seminar aimed to equip both students and educators with skills and awareness needed to face the challenges of modern life, while also promoting emotional intelligence, discipline, and balanced living.
Mr Quadros began the session by addressing Conflict Resolution, encouraging students to handle disagreements with empathy, patience, and effective communication. He emphasized that understanding and resolving conflicts peacefully is a vital life skill, especially during adolescent years.
The topic of Financial Literacy followed, where he explained the basics of saving, budgeting, and making informed choices about money. This was particularly appreciated by students preparing to step into adulthood and teachers guiding them in life beyond academics.
A major concern discussed was Social Media and Gaming. Mr Quadros shed light on the addictive nature of screens and the need to use technology responsibly. He encouraged students to be mindful of their digital habits and balance online activities with real-world connections.
In the segment on Acceptance of Weakness, he inspired the audience to embrace their imperfections and view them as opportunities for growth. He reminded everyone that true strength lies in being honest with oneself.
He also motivated the audience to Build Their Knowledge beyond textbooks, cultivating curiosity and a passion for learning through reading, discussion, and observation.
Mr Quadros spoke about the importance of Family Time, urging students and teachers alike to strengthen family bonds as a source of emotional support and stability.
The seminar concluded with a reflection on Engaging in an Alternative Way of Life—a call to live more consciously, with purpose, simplicity, and gratitude.
The seminar by Mr Quadros was insightful, relatable, and highly motivating. It left a lasting impact on students and teachers, encouraging them to lead more mindful and meaningful lives. The school expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr Quadros for his inspiring presence and guidance.
