In a vibrant push towards futuristic education, two exciting STEAM AI workshops were held on February 12 and 13, 2026, captivating students, parents, and teachers in Don Bosco School, Narukot, Gujarat, India. The first event took place for the Piloo Mody High School, Narukot on Wednesday, February 12, from 9:30 am to 12 noon. The second unfolded at Don Bosco English Medium School in Narukot on Thursday, February 13, during the same morning hours. Organized by education enthusiasts Mr George Panicker, Mrs Farhat Jabin, and Mrs Zulekha Khatoon, these sessions brought hands on learning to life, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to explore the fusion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics i.e. STEAM.
It integrates these five disciplines into a cohesive approach, fostering critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and practical skills through real-world applications. In India, where rapid technological advancement defines the 21st century, STEAM is crucial. It prepares students for high demand careers in IT, AI, engineering, healthcare, and research. By nurturing innovation, it fuels national development and positions India as a global leader in science and technology. As endorsed by the Education Ministry of India, STEAM builds logical thinking and adaptability essential for future jobs and inventions amid fast-evolving tech landscapes.
Each workshop featured six tables, with four students, one parent, and one teacher per table, creating a collaborative family like atmosphere. The hands on experiments were the highlight. Participants coded drones to fly, programmed cars to drive autonomously, played virtual pianos on paper, composed songs by touching fruits, built mini hand dryers, and delved into mixed reality experiences. These activities demonstrated how AI seamlessly blends with everyday creativity, making abstract concepts tangible and fun.
The sessions culminated in a delightful finale - a robot performing a dance routine that children mirrored with glee. Laughter echoed as young minds synced movements with the machine, symbolizing the harmonious blend of human ingenuity and technology. The children's joy was palpable; wide eyed excitement filled the rooms as they tinkered, coded, and innovated. Parents and teachers marveled at the seamless integration of arts with STEM, watching skills blossom in real-time. These workshops weren't just events they were gateways to a STEAM infused future.
In an era where rote learning falls short, STEAM equips students to tackle real challenges, from climate solutions to AI ethics. The organizers envision embedding these AI tools into the school curriculum, transforming classrooms into innovation hubs. As India races towards a tech driven tomorrow, initiatives like these light the path. Piloo Mody High School and Don Bosco English Medium School, Narukot have taken bold steps, proving that with the right spark, every child can become an inventor. We eagerly await more such workshops, integrating STEAM AI to empower the next generation.
