On October 19, 2025, the youth of Resurrection Church in Virar East organized a Peace Rosary event that brought together community members to pray for peace and unity in a time of growing tension and unrest in various parts of the world. The event, which was held outdoors amid the beautiful surroundings of the church’s premises, began at 9 a.m. right after the 8 a.m. morning mass and attracted participants of all ages.
The initiative was spearheaded by the youth group, who aimed to foster a spirit of fellowship and meditation within the church community while also reaching out to local residents. As prayers were offered through the traditional rosary beads, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of hope and solemnity. Each mystery of the rosary was accompanied by reflective readings focused on themes of peace, forgiveness, and harmony, encouraging attendees to contemplate the importance of these values in their lives.
This event was not only a spiritual gathering but also a call to action, urging everyone to take small steps towards peace in their daily interactions. The youth members crafted banners and placards with inspirational messages promoting peace and love, some of which were displayed around the church premises. Participating families also contributed by sharing food and refreshments at the end of the event, which further strengthened community bonds.
The youth carried the statue of our lady in honour of the month of the holy rosary and in gratitude for all the choicest blessings and favours received throughout the years.
Overall, the Peace Rosary was a resounding success, showcasing the vitality and dedication of the youth in the church. Their efforts not only succeeded in fostering a greater sense of unity within the church but also served as a beacon of hope for the wider community, reminding everyone of the power of collective prayer and action in the pursuit of peace.
