The much-awaited Science Exhibition – INNOVISTA 2025, themed “Innovate for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” was conducted with great academic fervour and creative enthusiasm at Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, on November 15, 2025. The event served as a dynamic platform to nurture scientific curiosity, promote interdisciplinary learning, and encourage students to explore real-world applications of science and technology through hands-on innovation.
The exhibition commenced with the solemn school prayer, invoking divine blessings for a purposeful and inspiring day. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests of honour and dignitaries, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and the pursuit of scientific wisdom. The ceremonial ribbon-cutting marked the official inauguration of INNOVISTA 2025, setting an energetic tone for the exploration and discovery that followed.
Students from Classes I to XI showcased their talent, research, and creativity through an impressive range of scientific models, prototypes, and thematic displays. The journey towards this exhibition was a rigorous one, beginning with extensive STEAM-based research, value integration, and career-linked explorations conducted in classrooms. Students collaborated in groups to design working models and innovative presentations that reflected analytical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. After two rounds of meticulous shortlisting, the finest exhibit from each class earned its place in the final exhibition.
On the day of the event, the Assembly Hall transformed into a vibrant sphere of futuristic ideas and eco-friendly concepts. Visitors walked through zones featuring robotics, environmental conservation systems, engineering mechanisms, sustainable solutions, digital innovation, and models reflecting global challenges. The students confidently articulated their understanding, explaining scientific principles, the purpose behind their innovation, and its relevance to society. Their clarity of thought, stage presence, and originality left a lasting impression on all attendees.
A distinguished panel of judges—comprising the Principal of Podar International School (Cambridge), a BRC Scientist, the HOD of Science from Podar International School, and an IT Industry Representative—evaluated the exhibits on parameters such as creativity, scientific accuracy, applicability, teamwork, and value integration. The judges commended the students for their impressive depth of knowledge, presentation skills, and their ability to connect scientific inquiry with real-world sustainability.
INNOVISTA 2025 emerged as a celebration of holistic education, forward-thinking innovation, and the spirit of Don Bosco. The exhibition not only fostered scientific literacy but also encouraged students to become responsible, empathetic, and visionary citizens. The event concluded on a note of pride and inspiration, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds who are prepared to shape a better, sustainable, and inclusive future.
