Kawant, February 7, 2026 – A spirit of hope and accomplishment filled the campus of DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant, as the institution celebrated the completion of the 7th batch and welcomed the 8th batch of the BRIDGE programme—an initiative dedicated to enhancing employability among rural youth.
The day marked not just a ceremonial transition, but a powerful affirmation of the transformative journey undertaken by young participants preparing to enter the professional world with renewed confidence and competence.
The BRIDGE programme—BOSCH’s Response to India’s Development and Growth through Employability Enhancement—is a two-month skill development course implemented by BOSCH India in partnership with the Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar, Vadodara, Muni Seva Ashram, Goraj, and DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant. Designed especially for rural and tribal youth, the initiative blends technical training with personal formation to prepare candidates for sustainable employment.
The training modules include Spoken English, Computer Skills, and Employability Skills, with focused sessions on workplace behavior, communication, teamwork, and stress management. The holistic approach ensures that students not only gain professional knowledge but also develop the soft skills and self-assurance required to thrive in competitive environments.
The programme commenced with a prayer service, invoking divine guidance for the graduates and the new batch. The solemn recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution of India served as a reminder of the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity—principles that form the foundation of inclusive development. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolized enlightenment, growth, and the promise of brighter futures.
Fr Mayank Parmar SDB, Director and Rector of DISHA Don Bosco, welcomed the distinguished guests and participants. In his address, he emphasized the organization’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment through skill-building, career guidance, and value-based education. He underlined the importance of collaborative efforts between corporate bodies, voluntary organizations, and educational institutions to create sustainable employment pathways for young people, particularly in tribal and rural regions.
The event was graced by Rotarian Ashok Shah, Past President of the Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar, Vadodara, along with Rotarian Mahendra Shah, Rotarian Manoj Adalja, and Rotarian Kirit Dholakia, the Project Coordinator. In their messages, the guests encouraged students to remain disciplined, adaptable, and persevering in their professional journeys. They applauded the consistent efforts of Don Bosco institutions in nurturing talent and transforming lives through structured skill development initiatives.
A deeply moving segment of the programme featured testimonies from graduating students. They shared how the supportive atmosphere at DISHA Don Bosco made them feel valued and confident. Many expressed gratitude for the encouragement received from trainers and management, acknowledging that the course had not only strengthened their abilities but also reshaped their outlook toward the future.
As one batch steps into the world of opportunity and another begins its journey, DISHA Don Bosco continues to build bridges of hope—connecting dreams with dignified employment and shaping responsible citizens for tomorrow.
