On February 14, 2026, the Scouts, Guides, Cubs, and Bulbuls of Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik embarked on an exciting and refreshing field visit to Chandshi, combining adventure, fitness, and a meaningful connection with nature. The visit was conducted under the able guidance of Scout Masters Sir Santosh and Sir Satish, along with Guide teachers Tr. Laxmi and Tr. Anagha. The initiative was the vision of our respected Principal, Fr Rixson, who constantly encourages experiential learning beyond the classroom.
The objective of the visit was to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and environmental awareness among the students. Cycling to Chandshi was not merely a journey but an experience that instilled confidence, endurance, and responsibility in every participant. The day began early in the morning as the students assembled with their bicycles and safety gear. After a short prayer and important safety instructions, the group set off with enthusiasm and determination.
Throughout the journey, the students maintained proper formation, followed traffic rules, and supported one another, reflecting true scouting spirit. The ride was filled with excitement and cheerful interactions, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination itself. The guidance and constant supervision of the teachers ensured that the entire trip was safe and well-coordinated.
Upon reaching Chandshi, the students were greeted by serene surroundings, fresh air, and the calming beauty of nature. Away from the busy city life, they truly experienced the joy of being close to the natural environment. Various group activities and team-building games were conducted, strengthening cooperation and unity among the Scouts and Guides. The teachers also encouraged the students to observe nature carefully and understand the importance of conserving it.
The visit served as a practical lesson in discipline, resilience, and environmental responsibility. It provided a perfect blend of physical activity and learning, helping students appreciate the simple pleasures of life while reinforcing scouting values.
The field visit concluded on a joyful note as everyone returned with smiling faces, cherished memories, and a renewed sense of energy. It was indeed a meaningful and enriching experience that fostered camaraderie, awareness, and a deeper respect for nature.
