Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik recently celebrated two exciting events for Junior College students—Traditional Day with Ramp Walk on November 29 and Talents Day on December 1. Both occasions provided an excellent platform for students to express their creativity, culture, and talents in a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.
The Traditional Day programme began with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, including the judges, Fr Royal, the Rector, Fr Rixson, the Principal, and the members of the management. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, positivity, and new beginnings. The judges were formally introduced and felicitated for their guidance and presence. Students arrived in colourful traditional attire, representing the diverse cultural heritage of India. The highlight of the day was the Ramp Walk, where students showcased their traditional outfits with elegance and confidence. The event was filled with music, applause, and cultural pride, making it both enjoyable and educational.
Talents Day, held on 1st December, provided students with opportunities to display their creativity through both stage and non-stage events. Non-stage activities included Mehendi, Rangoli, Sketching, Drawing, and other artistic competitions, which brought out the students’ attention to detail, creativity, and aesthetic sense. These activities were conducted with enthusiasm, and the students demonstrated remarkable skill and imagination. Stage events included Solo Dance, Group Dance, Singing, Shayari, and Yoga Dance, showcasing performance abilities, confidence, and teamwork. Each performance reflected preparation, dedication, and originality, earning appreciation from the judges, teachers, and fellow students alike. The combination of artistic and performance events made the day engaging and vibrant.
The programme concluded with Fr Rixson, the Principal, delivering the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the judges, management, teachers, volunteers, and students for their active participation and support, acknowledging the collective effort that contributed to the success of both celebrations.
Overall, both Traditional Day with Ramp Walk and Talents Day were highly successful and left a lasting impression on the school community. They fostered cultural awareness, encouraged self-expression, enhanced creativity, and strengthened the sense of unity among the Junior College students. The events reflected the vibrant spirit and values of Don Bosco School and Junior College.
