On Friday, September 27, 2025, the auditorium of Don Bosco Nerul transformed into a dynamic hub of aspiration and enterprise as hundreds of young people descended upon the Avsar Mega Job Fair in the Navi Mumbai Zone.
Organized by Don Bosco Avasar in collaboration with the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) and Bombay Catholic Sabha (BCS), the day-long event was a powerful and practical attempt to bridge the critical gap between skills training and employment demand.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the fair was a frenzy of focused activity. Recruiters from 80 leading companies—spanning Engineering, IT, Telecom, Hospitality, Logistics, FMCG, Retail, and Banking—met with a massive turnout of 1000+ eager job seekers.
The scope of opportunities was deliberately broad, ensuring inclusiveness for candidates ranging from 10th–12th pass students to postgraduates, and offering everything from entry-level roles to experienced positions for those 18 and over. This inclusive approach ensured that both freshers and experienced professionals found genuine pathways.
The atmosphere was electric as candidates had the unique opportunity to participate in multiple interviews and hand over their resumes to numerous prospective employers in one setting. It was an instant, high-efficiency place where candidates were shortlisted and hired on the spot, creating a true "win-win" scenario for all participants.
"I am very satisfied that I visited the mela and was shortlisted for a few jobs," remarked one candidate, echoing the sentiments of many who found the face-to-face interactions with prospective employers invaluable. Candidate feedback was actively collected throughout the day to ensure the event's ongoing quality.
Beyond the hiring desks, Avsar hosted insightful, interactive sessions designed for job readiness. These sessions covered crucial topics like industry expectations and the effective use of technology in the modern workplace, serving to boost participant confidence and better align their skills with current industry needs.
By equipping young people with opportunities, practical skills, and personalized guidance, the Avsar Mega Job Fair proved to be not just a day of hiring, but a pivotal moment in empowering the youth of the Navi Mumbai Zone to build brighter, more sustainable futures.
