The Vatican International Eucharistic Exhibition held at Resurrection Church Virar East on January 10 and 11, 2026, was a remarkable event that brought together art, faith, and community. This exhibition showcased a collection of religious artifacts, artworks, and historical pieces from the Vatican, offering attendees a unique opportunity to engage with the rich heritage of the Catholic Church.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Fr Thomas D'costa and Fr Francis Fernandes, was organized by the Bread of Life (BOL) Team. Its goal was to help people feel closer to Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Through engaging PowerPoint presentations, photos, and displays, attendees could virtually explore the places where the miracles happened. With over hundreds of people attending, both Catholics and non-Catholics, the event was a life-changing experience for many, strengthening their faith and understanding of the Mass and the Holy Eucharist.
The event also included interactive sessions and workshops aimed at engaging attendees of all ages. Families were encouraged to participate in activities that explored the themes of faith and creativity. Children had the opportunity to create their own art inspired by the works on display, fostering a sense of connection to their faith through artistic expression. These hands-on experiences were designed to make the exhibition not only informative but also enjoyable for everyone. The exhibition showed over 25 important Eucharistic Miracles approved by the Vatican, showing how God has acted in amazing ways throughout history. Mr Gaurav Patole, the founder of the Bread of Life (BOL) Team, shared his personal experience of a special vision that inspired him to start the foundation.
After this vision, Mr Gaurav Patole discovered the Eucharistic Miracles of the World listed by St Carlo Acutis. He then contacted the Vatican representatives from 'The Real Presence Organization' to get permission to bring the exhibits to India. Since 2012, the Patole family has worked hard to share the message of 'the Real Presence of Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist' from one parish to another across India, following the example set by St Carlo Acutis.
The event not only celebrated the rich heritage of the Catholic Church but also strengthened the bonds within the community. In conclusion, the Vatican International Eucharistic Exhibition was a resounding success, blending art, faith, and community engagement. It provided a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with their faith through the lens of art and history, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
