Python was introduced as part of the Institute’s vision to equip learners with future-ready skills, recognising it as one of the most versatile programming languages driving modern technological innovation.
Don Bosco Institute, Chinchwad, marked a significant academic milestone with the successful completion of its first-ever Python course.
The course commenced on November 22, 2025 and was thoughtfully designed as a Saturday-only course, making it accessible for working professionals and students alike.
On January 24, 2026, the learners appeared for their final examination in the morning, followed by the Convocation Ceremony in the afternoon to celebrate the successful completion of the course. The inaugural batch comprised 24 participants.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Fr Anton D’Souza, who extended his gratitude to the chief guests for their presence and continued support.
Fr D’Souza, highlighted the transformative role of technology in shaping modern careers and emphasized the Institute’s mission to provide advanced, industry-aligned training that equips students with practical and relevant skills. Fr D’Souza also presented small tokens of gratitude to all the dignitaries.
Fr Rajesh Bansode, emphasized that technology can change lives and shared the Institute’s vision of delivering modern, practical training aligned with real-world demands.
Mr Arun Bisht, encouraged students to continuously upskill and remain adaptable in a dynamic industry environment. He reflected on how emerging technologies are redefining professional opportunities and praised the Institute’s focus on hands-on learning.
During Convocation Ceremony, certificates were awarded to all students who successfully completed the course. Special recognition was given to the top three performers, who were awarded certificates and books in appreciation of their dedication and hard work.
Master Ariston Dsouza expressed heartfelt gratitude to Knorr-Bremse for sponsoring the high-tech computer laboratory. He thanked Fr Anton for initiating the weekend-only course, which enabled students to enhance their skills beyond the academic curriculum while making productive use of their weekends. He shared that the course provided valuable real-world exposure and significantly strengthened his technical capabilities.
Master Johnstone Joseph, who secured the top rank in the Python examination, thanked the Institute for introducing the Python program and acknowledged Knorr-Bremse for providing advanced lab facilities. He appreciated the instructors for their patient and clear teaching approach and shared that the course had greatly improved his programming confidence and competence.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Auxiln, who expressed her sincere appreciation to the chief guests, and students.
Auxilin Fernando, Computer Faculty at Don Bosco Institute, Chinchwad, announced the launch of the second batch of the Agentic AI course on February 7, 2026. Designed as a weekend-only program, it accommodates college students and working professionals alike.
Launched in March 2025, the Don Bosco Advanced Computer Education (DB-ACE) program at Chinchwad was established to prepare youth from all backgrounds for success in the IT world. This initiative opens access to a cutting-edge computer laboratory designed specifically for educational training, supported by partners like Knorr-Bremse.
