Don Bosco Chinchwad campus proudly hosted the Certificate Presentation Ceremony today, celebrating the successful completion of the second batch of training for women specializing in the Women in Refinish Trade as part of its skill development initiatives.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in empowering women within the technical trades sector, specifically in automotive refinishing skills. Dignitaries from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. attended the event, including Mr Anant Khond (Plant Head – Automotive Refinish Coatings), Mr Ganesh (ER Department), and Mrs Smita Panaskar (HR Department). They expressed strong support for the trainees by offering employment opportunities.
Representatives from BASF India Ltd. also graced the occasion—Mrs Sunita Sule (Director – Country Development & Government Relations), Mrs Trupti Kadam (Country Development), and Ms Shivani Roy (Marketing & New Business)—emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment through technical training. Industry partners and trainers delivered motivational speeches, with Mr Anant Khond congratulating the graduates and highlighting the growing opportunities for women in the automobile sector.
The highlight was the certificate distribution, where each trainee received her Automotive Refinish completion certificate. Trainers shared inspiring stories of the journey, from theory sessions to hands-on workshops covering spray painting, surface preparation, and polishing techniques.
The ceremony was filled with smiles, applause, and emotional moments as the women celebrated their achievements and new professional prospects.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the trainers, industry partners, and Don Bosco staff for their invaluable support.

The Institute has officially announced the launch of the third batch dedicated to training young girls, reinforcing its commitment to promoting gender equality in skill development initiatives. This move appeals to adolescent girls to join in large numbers, enabling them to access valuable vocational and life skills training, fostering confidence, independence, and economic empowerment.
