On September 19, 2025, the campus of Don Bosco High School, Borivali came alive with vibrant energy, excitement, and creativity as the much-awaited Talent Fest 2025 unfolded. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their unique gifts in the fields of dance, singing, and acting, and to celebrate the diverse artistic abilities that thrive within the school community.
The fest commenced in the school auditorium, which was tastefully decorated with colorful drapes, spotlights, and a stage that promised to witness magic in action. The highlight of the inaugural ceremony was the presence of the chief guest, Fr Flovi, whose encouraging words inspired the students to give their very best. His emphasis on the importance of nurturing creativity alongside academics struck a chord with the young performers.
Adding prestige to the occasion were the esteemed judges, Mr Alstan Remedios, a celebrated vocalist and theatre personality and Mrs Rutuja Parab, a renowned choreographer. Their warm presence and keen observation assured participants that their efforts were being evaluated with both fairness and appreciation.
The first segment was Dance, where students swayed gracefully and grooved with rhythm, showcasing a variety of styles ranging from classical to contemporary and hip-hop. Each performance reflected not only technical skill but also confidence and storytelling through movement.
Following this, the stage echoed with melodies during the Singing competition. From soulful renditions of classical notes to foot-tapping modern numbers, the participants mesmerized the audience with their powerful voices and emotional delivery. The auditorium was filled with applause after each performance, with many spectators humming along, testifying to the enchanting atmosphere created by these budding vocalists.
The final segment, Acting, turned the stage into a canvas of emotions. Students enacted short skits, monologues, and dramatic pieces that dealt with themes ranging from comedy to social awareness. Their ability to slip into different characters, emote convincingly, and hold the audience’s attention reflected the depth of their preparation and natural flair for the performing arts.
As the competitions concluded, Fr Flovi once again addressed the gathering, praising the courage and enthusiasm of every participant. He highlighted that Talent Fest was not only about competition but also about growth, expression, and celebration of individuality.
Since the level of performances was exceptionally high, the results were reserved to be announced later, building a sense of anticipation among students.
The day ended on a joyful note with pride and excitement echoing among students and teachers alike. Talent Fest 2025 truly succeeded in providing a platform where creativity bloomed, potential was recognized, and confidence was nurtured.
