The Annual Sports Day Sports Champs 2026 of the Secondary Section (SSC) of Don Bosco School, Borivli, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, discipline, and a true spirit of sportsmanship on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the school grounds. The programme unfolded in a well-planned and dignified manner, reflecting unity, teamwork, and excellence at every stage. The celebration commenced with a Guard of Honour, where the disciplined march past set a tone of respect and pride. This was followed by the welcoming of the Chief Guest, Ms Nadiya Naim Shaikh, Presidential Awardee and Former Senior Intelligence Officer, who was received with warmth and honour. The gathering was then addressed through greetings from the Rector, who encouraged students to uphold the values of fair play and perseverance.

An introduction and felicitation of the Chief Guest followed, acknowledging her remarkable service and inspiring journey. This was succeeded by the address by the Chief Guest, which motivated the students to pursue excellence with dedication, discipline, and integrity. The programme then witnessed a vibrant March Past, where students displayed synchronisation, confidence, and team spirit. The Hoisting of the Flag marked a solemn moment, symbolising unity and pride, followed by the rendition of the School Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with a sense of belonging. The ceremonial Torch Relay added energy and symbolism, representing the passing of values such as commitment, courage, and sportsmanship from one generation to the next.

The event then moved into its spiritual segment with the Sports Person’s Prayer, reminding participants of the importance of humility and gratitude. This was followed by the Oath Ceremony, during which students pledged to participate with honesty and fairness. The audience was enthralled by the Pyramids and Mallakhamb performances, which showcased strength, balance, coordination, and teamwork. The day continued with various Track and Field Events, where students participated enthusiastically, displaying determination and competitive spirit. A series of Fun Events added colour and cheer, ensuring enjoyment for participants and spectators alike.

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors. The Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured the efforts and achievements of the participants. The programme ended with the Closing Ceremony, Lowering of the Flag, and the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, bringing sports champs 2026 to a dignified and memorable close.
