Don Bosco Institute at Chinchwad marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first Python Programming Course under the Don Bosco Knnor Bremse Project. The induction ceremony brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the institute’s technology-driven mission.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Director, Fr Anton D'Souza, the Principal, Mr Nilesh Chandgude, and Chief Guest, Mr Ivan Mathews, whose support highlighted the importance of equipping youth with future-ready skills in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The Principal Mr Chandgude presented a small token of appreciation to Chief Guest Mr Ivan Mathews, expressing gratitude for his presence and encouragement.
Fr D’Souza opened the event with a warm and inspiring address. He spoke about the transformative power of technology and the institute’s commitment to offering state-of-the-art training that prepares students for real-world opportunities.
Following the welcome, Ms Auxi, the Computer Instructor, introduced the course. She explained how Python has already become an integral part of our everyday lives often without our awareness through the many apps and services we use on our mobile devices. She highlighted that python is one of the most versatile languages shaping modern technological innovation from AI and automation to web development and data science, due to its simplicity and flexibility. She emphasized the importance of upskilling in Python to stay relevant and industry ready in today’s competitive job market.
Chief Guest Mr Ivan Mathews, Sr Management in International & Domestic Logistics, and Supply Chain Management, encouraged students to embrace programming as a core skill. He praised the institute for its vision and for creating platforms that help young people thrive in competitive environments.
Mr Mathews encouraged the students to actively share their enthusiasm for learning with friends and peers. He urged them to not only engage deeply with the course content but also inspire others to take advantage of this educational opportunity as a way to explore new possibilities in life. This message reflects the commitment of the institute to promoting a culture of knowledge-sharing and mutual support among young people, amplifying the positive impact of the Python training program at Don Bosco Chinchwad.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Mr Ashay delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest for joining the event and gracing the occasion with his presence. He also thanked all dignitaries, staff members, and students for their contributions to make the program a success.
The course will be conducted only on Saturdays from November 22 till January 31, 2026.
With this launch, Don Bosco Chinchwad continues its mission of empowering youth, fostering innovation, and shaping skilled professionals for tomorrow’s digital world.
