St Dominic Savio High School radiated festive joy during its much-awaited two-day Savio Christmas Panorama cum Fete 2025, held on December 13 and 14. Centred on the inspiring theme, “A Journey of Hope – guided by the star of peace and love,” the celebration went beyond merriment to serve a meaningful purpose—supporting the 125 school’s evening study children—thus beautifully blending Christmas cheer with social responsibility.
After months of careful planning by dedicated school committees, Day One opened on a vibrant note with a soulful Carol Singing Competition, setting a warm and joyful atmosphere. This was followed by a creative Hat Parade, where students showcased festive designs while spreading messages of joy, hope, peace, gratitude, and love.
The excitement continued with the much-loved Fancy Dress Competition, as pre-primary and primary students won hearts with their confident portrayals of sea creatures, superheroes, endangered species, and more. The school campus buzzed with energy as students, parents, and neighbours explored lively game stalls managed by students and enjoyed a variety of delicious treats at the food counters.
The evening sparkled with captivating performances by the DS Boys in Harmony and Divine Nrithyalaya, while the powerful martial arts display by LITMA (Life Institute of Tai-chi & Martial Arts) students, left the audience spellbound. The day reached a high point with the Savio Prince Competition, where secondary students impressed all with their poise, confidence, and communication skills.
Day Two unfolded with equal charm and reflection. A moving Christmas tableau beautifully depicted the true spirit of the season. The moment turned sacred when the Rector and Manager, Fr Franco Pereira, placed Baby Jesus in the Manger, reminding all of the humility, love, and hope at the heart of Christmas.
Festivities continued with the much-anticipated Raffle Draw, followed by a lively Bollywood and Western Dance Competition. Performances by the evening study group students and melodious carol singing by the Savion Boarders’ ensemble added warmth to the celebration.
The grand finale—the Savio King Contest for Grade 10 students—was a vibrant display of talent and confidence. The arrival of Santa Claus and the crowning of the Savio King brought the celebrations to a joyful close, leaving behind memories filled with music, generosity, and a strong sense of community spirit.
