On August 29, 2025, the Pre-Primary section of Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, joyfully celebrated Grandparents’ Day with immense love and enthusiasm, creating a memorable and heartwarming experience for both the students and their beloved grandparents.

The celebration began with a warm welcome, as the tiny tots greeted their grandparents with handmade cards and flowers. The event aimed to honour and express gratitude towards grandparents, who hold a cherished place in every child’s life, offering unconditional love, wisdom, and guidance.

The programme commenced with a short prayer service and the lighting of the lamp, symbolising peace and blessings. The school’s Principal, Fr Rixson Nigrel addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of inter-generational bonding, appreciating the irreplaceable role that grandparents play in shaping young lives. The young learners lit up the stage with delightful cultural performances including songs, dances, and skits dedicated to their grandparents.

The highlight of the event was a special dance that left the grandparents mesmerised, many of them overwhelmed with joy and emotion as they watched their little ones perform with innocence and love. To make the day even more engaging, fun-filled interactive games were organised exclusively for the grandparents. Their laughter and active participation reflected how much they enjoyed every moment, reliving their own childhood while making memories with their grandchildren.

As the program drew to a close, refreshments were served, and each grandparent received a handcrafted token of love from the students — a simple yet meaningful gesture of appreciation. The celebration concluded with heartfelt thanks to all grandparents for their constant love and support. The day was not only a tribute to their unwavering affection but also a reminder of the values, traditions, and life lessons they lovingly pass on to the younger generation.
