On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the youth of Sacred Heart Parish, Yerwada, organized a unique and spiritually enriching exhibition on Carlo Acutis and the Eucharistic Miracles. This initiative brought alive the faith, devotion, and inspiration of St Carlo Acutis, a modern millennial saint, and highlighted the centrality of the Eucharist in Christian life.
The exhibition was carefully designed and presented by the parish youth after all four Masses. Informative panels, charts, and oral explanations by the youth members guided parishioners through the various aspects of the display. The first section focused on the life of St Carlo Acutis, his deep love for the Eucharist, and his role as an inspiration for young people of our times. Parishioners were reminded of his famous words, “The Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”
The second part of the exhibition gave parishioners an in-depth understanding of what the Eucharist truly means. The liturgical history of the Eucharist and the theological explanation of transubstantiation were presented in a simple and clear manner. The youth also put up charts displaying the list of Eucharistic miracles from around the world, some of which were described in detail with scientific evidence that testifies to the supernatural character of these phenomena.
Particular focus was given to some well-known miracles: the Miracle of Lanciano (8th Century), Siena (1730), Faverney (1608), Cascia (1330), Boxmeer (1400), Legnica (2013), and Vilakannur, Kerala (2013). These were explained with the help of visuals, narratives, and enthusiastic sharing by the youth members, who made sure that the parishioners could grasp both the historical and spiritual significance of each miracle.
A special attraction of the day was the intention counter. Parishioners were invited to write down their prayer intentions after every Mass and pin them on a creative display shaped like rays around a monstrance. These intentions were later offered at the evening Mass through the intercession of St Carlo Acutis. Parishioners were also encouraged to say a special prayer through his intercession while offering their petitions.
The parish was blessed to host the relic of St Carlo Acutis on this day, which added greater spiritual depth to the exhibition. Many parishioners expressed a sense of grace and closeness to this young saint who continues to inspire millions.
To support the youth fund, the young people also set up a food stall selling homemade snacks and drinks. This initiative not only helped in raising funds but also created a joyful atmosphere of fellowship and participation.
The Carlo Acutis and Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition proved to be a moment of grace, learning, and renewal of Eucharistic devotion for the parish, beautifully animated by the Sacred Heart Parish youth.
