Don Bosco Chinchwad’s Electric Vehicle (EV) section held a Certificate Ceremony to honor students who successfully completed the EV course sponsored by the Ma Foi Foundation. The event was graced by Ms Shrutika Chanda, Senior HR Executive at Jombay, and Mr Venkatesh from the Ma Foi Foundation, who attended as chief guests.
The ceremony began with a welcome song performed by the Electrician batch, accompanied by drums and cymbals. Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal of Don Bosco, welcomed the guests and shared the history of the partnership between Don Bosco and Ma Foi Foundation.
Fr Anton D’Souza, Director, felicitated the guests with seed cards and emphasized the importance of this collaboration. He congratulated the students and highlighted the institute’s commitment to providing quality education that leads to better livelihoods, inviting more partners who share their vision and mission.
Certificates were distributed by Ms Shrutika Chanda, who praised the dedication of both staff and students and wished the students success in their future endeavors. She also commended the management for their excellent training facilities.
Mr Venkatesh shared his reflections on the initial discussions with Don Bosco management and applauded the faculty and students for completing the course. He underscored the significance of the EV Maintenance Training Program as an employability-linked skilling initiative designed for the technicians of tomorrow.
The institute expressed gratitude to the CSR initiative of Jombay Services Limited for funding this important project.

Mr Ghorpade, the Instructor, shared his journey with the students, highlighting the crucial importance of the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector in today's market. The EV sector in India is rapidly transforming the mobility landscape, driven by rising fuel costs, environmental concerns, and strong government policies. India is expected to be one of the largest EV markets by 2025, with significant growth in charging infrastructure, manufacturing, and adoption across various vehicle categories.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr Colman D’Souza, who thanked all dignitaries, staff, and students for their participation. He closed by reiterating Don Bosco’s mission to serve disadvantaged youth in society.
