Lonavla, September 30, 2025 — Don Bosco High School and Junior College hosted its annual Singing Competition, Sing. Shine. Soar., on September 30, 2025 turning the campus into a stage for creativity and musical talent.
The programme began with the welcoming of dignitaries, followed by the introduction and felicitation of the judges and management members. The panel of judges for the event were Shalom Yohan and Vrunda Pal, who later also contributed their own performances.
The competition was divided into three categories:
Category A – Students of Standards V, VI, and VII
Category B – Students of Standards VIII, IX, and X
Category C – Students of Junior College (XI and XII)
Participants came forward with enthusiasm, presenting a wide variety of performances. Some sang melodious solos, others sang along with soundtracks, and a few accompanied themselves with instruments, demonstrating versatility and dedication. The hall resonated with harmony, holding the audience’s attention from start to finish.
After the performances, the judges addressed the gathering, sharing appreciation and offering valuable feedback to the participants. Their decision to perform soulful songs themselves proved a memorable highlight of the programme, underlining the shared joy of music.
The event concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of certificates, recognising the effort and talent of the young performers.

Category B (Std VIII to X): Shaun Joshi (IX) – First; Saksh Sonavne (VIII) – Second; Aksh Oswal (IX) – Second; Aiden Fernandes (IX) – Second
Category C (Std XI to XII): Parth Khandagale (XI Science) – First; Mahi Pal (XII Arts) – Second; Joechrist Fernandes (XII Arts) – Third; Joshua Jacinto (XII Commerce) – Third
The morning programme ran smoothly and concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks, marking the close of an inspiring and melodious day at Don Bosco.
While certain performances stood out, the competition emphasised inclusivity, confidence, and growth. By the end of the event, the Aspirantate Down Hall had witnessed not just a contest but a celebration of effort, talent and community spirit—true to the school’s vision of encouraging every student to sing, shine and soar.
