The Jubilee Committee organized a special program for the youth titled “Journeying Together in Faith” on October 5, beginning at 9 a.m. The initiative was part of the Jubilee celebrations, aiming to bring the young members of the parish closer in spirit, faith, and fellowship. The event saw an enthusiastic participation of 55 youth, each eager to learn, share, and grow in their faith through the thoughtfully planned sessions and activities.

The morning began with a warm and hearty breakfast, where the participants were served idli, vada, and tea—a simple yet comforting meal that set a pleasant tone for the day. Soon after, the atmosphere turned lively as the organizing committee conducted a series of icebreakers and spot prizes, encouraging the youth to interact, laugh, and get comfortable with one another. These activities successfully built a sense of community and excitement that carried through the rest of the program.

The event featured a range of inspiring speakers who guided the youth on various aspects of faith and life. Fr Manuel Murzello and Fr Vishal Lopes addressed the gathering, offering their thoughts on the spiritual journey of young people in today’s world and the importance of staying rooted in faith amidst challenges. Their words resonated deeply with the participants, many of whom related to the real-life examples and practical insights shared.

Adding to the learning experience, Ms Virginia elaborated on the importance of the Jubilee Year, explaining its spiritual significance and the symbolism behind the Jubilee logo. Her explanation helped the youth better understand the meaning behind the celebrations and the call to renewal, mercy, and unity that the Jubilee embodies.

The highlight of the morning was the keynote address by Fr Leon Cruz, who delivered a powerful and thought-provoking session. Centering his message around the image of an anchor, he spoke about hope, stability, and resilience in the face of life’s storms. His talk inspired many to see faith as an anchor—something that keeps them steady and grounded, even amid uncertainty.
