Each event showcased cultural performances, meaningful messages, and creative activities that brought communities closer. Here’s a look at how Diwali was celebrated across the INB Province.
Don Bosco Kawant School celebrated Diwali on October 14, 2025 with vibrant enthusiasm, beginning with prayer songs and the lighting of diyas to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness. Fr Mayank Parmar emphasized eco-friendly celebrations and compassion for the needy, while Tr Bhumika highlighted Diwali’s cultural and social significance. As part of the festivities, bicycles were distributed to girl students under the Saraswati Sadhana Yojana to support their education and school attendance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Fr Ajay, appreciating everyone’s contributions to the joyful and meaningful celebration.
Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, celebrated Diwali on October 16, 2025 with vibrant enthusiasm, promoting love, harmony, and the triumph of light over darkness. The event featured a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, a solemn prayer service, and captivating cultural performances that showcased India’s rich diversity. Principal Fr Rixson emphasized eco-friendly celebrations and encouraged students to spread light through kindness and good deeds. The celebration also included the birthday of Rector Fr Royal, adding joy to the occasion, which concluded with a vote of thanks and sweet distribution.
The Diwali Mela at Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla, held on October 17, 2025, brought together students, staff, volunteers, and over sixty Oratory children for an afternoon of celebration and community bonding. The event featured an inspiring inaugural ceremony, heartfelt speeches, and vibrant cultural performances by Oratory students. A lively fun zone with games and competitions kept the children engaged, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony. Coordinated by Dr Royal Dsouza with support from Fr Charles Anthony and Mr Arvind, the Mela beautifully reflected Diwali’s spirit of joy, unity, and generosity.
Don Bosco Alirajpur celebrated Diwali on October 17, 2025 with a joyful gathering of students, staff, and well-wishers, emphasizing the theme of spreading light and overcoming darkness. The event featured a Rangoli competition, prayer dance, and a musical skit on the Ramayana, highlighting the victory of good over evil. Fr Cyril inspired students to be bearers of wisdom and light in the world, while lively dance performances added to the festive spirit. The celebration concluded with heartfelt acknowledgments and reminders to share Diwali greetings and celebrate safely.
