In a resounding success, Don Bosco Avsar Chinchwad organized an online webinar titled “Road Map to Banking Exams” on February 28, 2026, commencing at 11 a.m.
This initiative attracted 18 dedicated students eager to explore banking careers. To ensure optimal accessibility, DB Avsar arranged a special viewing at the Knorr-Bremse Audio-Visual (AV) Hall, projecting the session on a large LCD screen for immersive learning. Others participated seamlessly from their respective locations, highlighting the program's inclusive approach.
The webinar's core objective was to illuminate diverse career opportunities in the banking sector and demystify preparation strategies for success. Resource person Mr Menino Furtado (M.A., LL.B., PGDHRM), a seasoned career consultant with formal ties to State Bank of India, delivered a motivational 90-minute interactive session. He broke down structures of major exams like IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, and RBI Grade B, covering eligibility criteria, syllabus patterns, and scoring mechanisms. Participants gained practical insights on time management, subject-wise techniques for quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English, and general awareness, plus the vital role of consistency, discipline, and digital proficiency in a tech-driven banking environment. The Q&A segment buzzed with queries on job prospects, interview tips, and balancing studies with mock tests, reflecting high engagement.
Building on this momentum, Don Bosco Avsar immediately announced a complimentary 10-day hands-on training program on MS Office suite, computer fundamentals, and basic networking—essential for banking and administrative roles. Impressively, 15 participants swiftly availed this opportunity, underscoring the demand for skill enhancement.
Fr Anton D'Souza, Director, expressed profound gratitude to organizers Mr Colman D'Souza, Mr Borde, and Mr Angello for their meticulous handling of logistics, from technical setup to participant coordination. Since its inception on May 2, 2025, Don Bosco Avsar Chinchwad has been a beacon for youth, hosting job fairs, campus interviews, webinars, and vocational workshops. These efforts bridge aspiring talents with banks and financial institutions, fostering employment pathways.
Through such interventions, Don Bosco Avsar Chinchwad reaffirms its mission: nurturing youth, amplifying employability, and forging industry partnerships for sustainable careers. Sincere thanks to Mr. Furtado, the team, and all participants for their vibrant contributions.
