“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” With this inspiring thought, the Primary Section of St. Dominic Savio High School, Andheri, celebrated its Graduation Day for the academic year 2025–2026 with great joy and pride in the school assembly hall on March 7, 2026. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the students of Standard IV, who successfully completed their primary education and prepared to begin the next stage of their academic journey.
The event was graced by dignitaries, teachers, and parents whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the celebration. The theme for the Graduation Day, “Anchored in Hope: Pilgrims with Young People on the Path of Peace,” beautifully reflected the values and vision of the school while celebrating the achievements and cherished memories of the graduating students.
The class teachers of Standard IV escorted the young graduates into the hall, creating a proud and memorable moment for all present. This was followed by a prayer service seeking God’s blessings for the students as they stepped into a new phase of learning. The cultural programme began with a cheerful welcome song, setting a joyful tone for the occasion. A touching video presentation then showcased memorable moments from the students’ journey in the Primary Section, bringing smiles and nostalgia to parents, teachers, and students alike.
A heartfelt presentation titled “Yester Years” by the Standard IV boys reflected on their experiences and expressed gratitude to their teachers. Adding to the emotional spirit of the event, the Primary Section staff performed songs offering their blessings and good wishes for the students’ bright future. Another highlight of the programme was a lively skit, which humorously compared the schooling systems of the past with modern-day education.
Addressing the gathering, Fr Francisco Pereira encouraged the students to carry forward the strong foundation built during their primary years. He urged them to be responsible, confident, and committed as they move on to the Secondary Section in the academic year 2026–2027 and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
The celebration concluded with a group photograph, capturing the pride, joy, and memorable spirit of the occasion—marking the end of one journey and the hopeful beginning of another for the young graduates.
