On March 7, 2026, the parish community of Don Bosco, Nashik came together to celebrate Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, gratitude, and a spirit of togetherness. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist in the parish church, setting a prayerful and meaningful tone for the day. The parish Mass was celebrated by Fr Leon Rodrigues, who offered special prayers for all the women in the parish, thanking them for their dedication, service, and important role in families and the Church. His homily highlighted the strength, faith, and compassion that women bring into society and encouraged everyone to appreciate their invaluable contribution.
After the Eucharistic celebration, all the women of the parish gathered in the parish hall for the Women’s Day program. The gathering created a warm and joyful atmosphere as women from different groups and families came together to celebrate the occasion.
The highlight of the program was an inspiring talk delivered by Sr Assis FHIC, the Superior of the Nirmala Convent. In her address, she spoke about the gracefulness, presence, and strength of women. She emphasized that women possess a unique ability to nurture, support, and lead with compassion. Sr Assis encouraged the women to recognize their inner strength and dignity, reminding them that their presence in families, communities, and the Church is both valuable and powerful. Her message inspired the women to continue living with confidence, faith, and grace in their daily lives.
Following the talk, the celebration continued with fun-filled games organized by the community priests, led by Fr Royal, the Rector and Parish Priest. The activities brought great excitement and laughter among the participants. The women wholeheartedly took part in the games, enjoying every moment and cheering each other with great enthusiasm. The lively participation reflected the spirit of unity and joy within the parish community.
The event concluded with a fellowship meal where everyone shared food and conversations together. The meal provided a wonderful opportunity for the women to relax, interact, and strengthen their bonds with one another. The day ended on a happy and grateful note, leaving everyone with beautiful memories.
Overall, the Women’s Day celebration was a meaningful and joyful event that honored the grace, strength, and dedication of women in the parish. It was truly a day of prayer, inspiration, fellowship, and celebration.
