The spirit of unity, empowerment, and celebration marked the Women’s Day gathering held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Don Bosco Chhotaudepur campus. The program brought together 52 Self-Help Groups from 40 villages, with around 375 women participating enthusiastically and representing their communities.
The celebration was graced by two distinguished chief guests, Urmilla Rathwa, a Range Forest Officer, and Champa Rathwa, both of whom are proud past pupils who now hold respected positions in the Forest Department. Their presence served as a strong inspiration for many young girls and women present, showing how dedication and education can lead to meaningful achievements in life.
Many of the women who attended were either past pupils of the institution or parents whose children are currently studying at the school. Their participation created a sense of belonging and pride, strengthening the bond between the institution and the surrounding villages.
The day was filled with meaningful activities and informative sessions. Officials from the Police Department conducted awareness sessions on women’s safety and health care, highlighting practical ways women can protect themselves and care for their well-being. These sessions were interactive and encouraged participants to ask questions and share their experiences.
Representative from the Youth and Culture Department, Mrs Deepika Rana, addressed the gathering. She shared valuable information about various government schemes and opportunities available for youth development. Her guidance helped the participants become more aware of the resources and support systems available for the growth of young people in rural areas.
Another important session was conducted by placement officials who provided guidance on career opportunities and skill development. Their inputs were especially useful for young women who are looking for ways to build a stable and successful future.
The program was organized in collaboration with the Sisters of Aradhana Sadan, making the celebration a joint effort in promoting women’s empowerment and social awareness.
To add joy and excitement to the event, several fete games were organized for the participants. The winners received attractive prizes, which brought great enthusiasm and laughter among the women.
The celebration concluded at 2 p.m. with everyone sharing a delicious meal together, bringing the day to a warm and joyful end. The Women’s Day celebration at Don Bosco Chhotaudepur truly became a moment of encouragement, awareness, and community bonding for all who were present.
