Mumbai, March 23, 2026 — The Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla hosted Teknack 2026 under the theme “Aparecium,” bringing together creativity, technology, and collaboration. The event provided a platform for students to present innovative projects while fostering engagement with alumni and industry professionals.
Fr Nelson Carvalho inaugurated the event. Rector and Director Fr Anthony Pinto, Assistant Director Fr Charles Anthony, Administrator Fr Mylin Noronha, and Principal Dr Sudhakar Mande were present on the occasion. They highlighted the importance of innovation, leadership, and perseverance in shaping students for emerging technological fields.
A key feature of the event was the participation of alumnus Reuben Mathew Philip, Director of Product at Clarium, USA, and a former Computer Engineering student of the institute. He shared insights from his professional journey and encouraged students to bridge academic learning with practical applications in industry.
Teknack 2026 featured 29 student-developed games that reflected creativity, technical competence, and teamwork. Projects such as Zombie Shooter, Quantum Battleship, and Mind Maze attracted attention for their engaging design and functionality. The diversity of ideas demonstrated the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical and innovative ways. The link to the games have been mentioned below.
The competition was evaluated by Don Bosco Alumni, strengthening the relationship between past and present students. Alumni support also contributed to the organisation and smooth conduct of the event, reflecting continued engagement with the institution.
In addition to project presentations, the programme included gaming tournaments such as FIFA, PES, and Clash Royale, along with interactive activities that encouraged participation and collaboration among students. These segments added to the overall learning experience while maintaining a lively atmosphere.
The event concluded with awards recognising excellence in categories such as Best Game UI, Best Gameplay, Best Game Concept, and People’s Choice. Participants, mentors, and organisers were acknowledged for their efforts and contributions to the success of the programme.
Teknack 2026 highlighted the role of innovation, collaboration, and alumni engagement in technical education, offering students an opportunity to showcase their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
