The 22nd Marian Quiz Competition was held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the AmrutDhara–Don Bosco Animation Centre, Kapadvanj. The event brought together Catholic students from various parishes of the Diocese and Salesian houses across Gujarat for a day of faith, fellowship, and intellectual challenge.

 The programme began with a solemn procession in which a statue of Mother Mary was carried with devotion. This was followed by a well-prepared and animated prayer service, setting a reverent tone for the day's proceedings. Fr Pratap Damor, Rector of AmrutDhara, then welcomed the participants, animators, guests, and other members of the gathering. He expressed his joy at seeing young people come together in faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

 The ceremonial lamp was then lit by the distinguished guests, symbolizing God's presence and guidance throughout the programme. Following this, Fr Ashwin Macwan, Director of AmrutDhara, delivered an inspiring message on the life and role of Mother Mary. He reflected on Mary as a loving guide and powerful intercessor, encouraging the young participants to deepen their relationship with Christ through her example.

 For the first time, the Marian Quiz Competition was conducted in both English and Gujarati, making the event more inclusive and accessible to the participants.

 The quiz consisted of twelve challenging rounds featuring questions, puzzles, and activities based primarily on the Bible. Mr. Ruchit Vaniya, a SYM member of Don Bosco Kapadvanj, served as the Quiz Master and skillfully conducted the competition, keeping the participants engaged throughout the event. Each of the nine participating teams, consisting of three members, had received the quiz material one month in advance, giving them sufficient time to study and prepare.

 The competition was intense, with all the teams displaying commendable preparation, biblical knowledge, teamwork, and enthusiasm. The participants were ably supported by their animators, whose guidance and encouragement contributed greatly to their performance.

 After several demanding rounds, Catholic Church, Balasinor, emerged as the champions and secured the first prize. Don Bosco, Chhota Udepur, won the second position, while Catholic Church, Umreth, secured third place.

 In his concluding message, Fr Ashwin Macwan reminded the participants that the Marian Quiz was not merely a competition. Rather, it was an opportunity to grow in the knowledge of Jesus through the intercession and example of Mary. He emphasized that the true purpose of the event was to encourage young people to study Sacred Scripture and strengthen their personal relationship with Christ.

 Mr Rajubhai, Catechist from Dakor, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and remarked, “The quiz was exceptionally well organized. Congratulations to the entire AmrutDhara team.” His words reflected the appreciation of all those who witnessed the dedication and hard work behind the successful event.

 The successful organization of the 22nd Marian Quiz Competition was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Salesian community, SYM youth, animators, participants, and auxiliary staff. Their commitment and teamwork ensured that the event was both meaningful and memorable. 

The day concluded with a spirit of gratitude, joy, and fellowship. The participants returned not only with the experience of a healthy competition but also with a renewed appreciation for Sacred Scripture, Mother Mary, and their Catholic faith. The 22nd Marian Quiz Competition thus became a memorable celebration of faith, knowledge, and the shared journey of young people towards Christ.
