In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and achievement, the third batch of the Women in Refinish short-term course at Don Bosco Vocational Training Institute (DBVPK) embarked on a memorable picnic to Hadshi, generously funded by the Seva Sahayog Foundation. The outing marked a fitting celebration for the 25 dedicated women who had bonded over three intensive months of skill-building in automotive refinishing techniques.

Under the guidance of instructor Mr Deepak Varpe and a team of enthusiastic coordinators, the group traveled to the lush haven of Hadshi, a serene destination just a short drive from Pune. Nestled amid verdant hills and sprawling greenery, Hadshi offered the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection after the rigors of their training. "This picnic was our way of honoring their hard work and fostering the sisterhood they've built," said Mr Varpe, who accompanied the students throughout the day. "Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter made every moment worthwhile."

The day unfolded with exploration and pure joy. The highlight was the intriguing museum at Hadshi, showcasing local history, artifacts, and cultural exhibits that captivated the group. Participants wandered through its halls, marveling at the displays and snapping photos to cherish the experience. "The museum is very interesting and awesome to explore," shared one trainee, echoing the sentiments of her peers. Outside, they soaked in the beautiful surroundings—towering trees, vibrant flora, and a tranquil lake—breathing in the fresh air and embracing the calm atmosphere that stood in refreshing contrast to their workshop routines.

Laughter filled the air as the women enjoyed games, shared homemade snacks, and recounted course highlights: mastering spray techniques, color matching, and surface preparation for professional auto body work. Funded entirely by Seva Sahayog Foundation's CSR initiatives, the picnic underscored the power of partnerships in empowering women through vocational skills. "These outings build confidence and lasting networks, preparing them not just for jobs, but for life," noted a coordinator.

As the sun set over Hadshi's peaceful landscape, the group returned invigorated, ready to step into job placements via DBVPK's placement cell. This trip wasn't just fun—it was a testament to resilience, community, and the transformative impact of skill development programs.
