Rajpipla, 23 August: DISHA Don Bosco Kawant organised a two-day workshop on Personality Development at the Rajpipla Social Service Society on August 20 and 21, 2026. The workshop aimed to help young people develop self-confidence, self-awareness, communication skills and leadership qualities so that they could play a more effective role in their communities.
A total of 32 youth mentors and youth leaders took part in the workshop. They were associated with the Village Education Programme and came from villages including Vagudan, Keldhara, Musat, Bildha, Usela, Mogra, Nakhal, Umathi, Khatiyawant, Athadungari, Navalja, Jamli (Musat), Dungargam, Rendha, Saidivasan, Kanalva, Khadla and Godadha. The Director of DISHA Don Bosco Kawant, Fr Dr Mayank Parmar, Programme Officer Hasmukh Christian, and members of the staff were also present.
The training was conducted by Ratibhai Jadav, an experienced trainer. At the beginning of the workshop, Hasmukh Christian led the participants in reading the Preamble to the Constitution of India. He then gave a brief introduction to the trainer. Fr Dr Mayank Parmar explained the purpose and importance of the training and encouraged the participants to take an active part in all the sessions.
During the two-day workshop, the participants were introduced to different aspects of personality development through simple and practical methods. One of the important topics covered was the Johari Window, which helped participants understand themselves better and improve their relationships and communication with others.
The trainer used a combination of PowerPoint presentations, videos, group activities and discussions to make the sessions interesting and easy to understand. Important points related to personality development were explained in simple language with practical examples. The activities encouraged the participants to reflect on their own strengths, weaknesses, behaviour and relationships with others.
The workshop provided the youth mentors and leaders with an opportunity to learn new skills and share their experiences with one another. It also encouraged them to become more confident and responsible in their work with young people and communities.
At the end of the workshop, feedback was collected from the participants. The common response was that the training had been useful and that they had learnt many new things during the two days. The participants appreciated the simple teaching methods, practical activities and interactive sessions.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Arvind Rathwa, a staff member of the organisation. Sharing his own experiences and learning, he encouraged the participants to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society.
The two-day workshop was a meaningful and enriching experience for all the participants and was an important step towards strengthening their personality, confidence and leadership abilities.
