Throughout the year the Don Bosco Alirajpur, have been conducting the Oratory for the children from the basti close by. Through the Oratory the children are exposed to various educational activities and games. In the month of April, the Oratory team led by Fr Matthew conducted the Oratory Summer Club for the children. The children were registered officially with the consent of their parents and guardians to fulfil all the formalities locally. The Oratory summer club officially began on April 8, 2026, with a peak of enthusiasm among the participating children. Various events and activities were organized for the children to ensure they had a cheerful learning experience at the club.
There were varying events focused on building different dimensions of growth in the children. Several literary and cultural activities were organized such as poetry recitation, singing competition, short outing, etc. to nurture creativity and self-confidence. Noteworthy of this was the public-speaking competition which provided the participants a chance to express themselves on stage with courage.
The club also incorporated several collaborative and interactive activities such as group games, art competition and numerous moments to perform on stage. These were conducted with the intention to promote team-spirit and provide opportunities for the children to showcase their talents in a healthy and competitive environment.
Computer classes and English sessions were conducted daily to facilitate the growth of children in the sector of computers and conversation. Sports activities like throwball, football, cricket and dodgeball encouraged the children to enhance their physical fitness and maintain the discipline of the sport. Creative dramatics, through skits and plays, further improved the children’s expressive abilities. Party games and several fun activities were placed as fillers to break the monotony of the schedule and keep the spirit of cheerfulness among the kids high. The Picnic was an opportunity build bonds with friends and enjoy to the fullest. It was indeed a day they would remember for years to come.
With a month so full of activities and learning, the children expressed their happiness for all they experienced at the club. At the close of the camp, the children were rewarded for their behavior, growth and participation. All the children were satisfied and content as they were appreciative of the efforts of the Oratory team (Fr Matthew, Sr Asha, Sr Jeevan, Tr Shardha and Tr Sangeeta). The Community expressed its gratitude to the team for the labors for the entire month, which was a success as the desired aim to help the children grow and celebrate life in a proactive way was fulfilled.
