Kawant, July 7, 2026: Don Bosco English and Gujarati Medium School, Kawant, successfully conducted its Student Council Elections on July 2, 2026, followed by the Investiture Ceremony on July 7, 2026, reaffirming the institution's commitment to nurturing responsible, democratic, and value-based student leadership.
The election process was efficiently organized by Mr Deepak and Cl. Joseph. To ensure transparency, fairness, and active student participation, voting was conducted digitally through Google Forms, enabling every eligible student to cast their vote in a secure and democratic manner. The initiative familiarized students with the values of democracy, responsibility, and informed decision-making.
The newly elected Student Council members were formally invested with their responsibilities during separate Investiture Ceremonies held for the English and Gujarati Medium schools on July 7, 2026. The ceremonies were graced by the presence of Fr Mayank, Rector of the institution, Fr Ajay, Principal, Fr Agnel, members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and several parents, whose presence added dignity to the occasion.
The English Medium Investiture Ceremony was honoured by the presence of Mr Jayeshkumar Solanki, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chhotaudepur, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged the young leaders to uphold integrity, responsibility, and a spirit of selfless service in carrying out their duties. The programme was coordinated by Mr Prakash.
The Gujarati Medium Investiture Ceremony was graced by Mr. Tarsingh Rathwa, Principal of Shirdivasan School, Kawant, who inspired the student leaders to lead by example and work for the welfare of their fellow students. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Ganesh and Mr. Govind.
A significant moment of both ceremonies was the formal presentation of the newly elected student leaders to Fr Ajay, and Fr Agnel, the Principals of both the schools who officially received the leaders for the academic year and entrusted them with the responsibility of serving the school community. The elected office bearers then took the oath of office, pledging to carry out their duties with sincerity, discipline, and dedication. The investiture symbolized the trust placed in the student leaders and marked the beginning of their journey of service and leadership.
The election and investiture ceremonies together reflected Don Bosco's educational vision of forming young people into responsible citizens and committed leaders through participation, accountability, and selfless service.
