The students of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, participated in Wordsmith Warriors 2026–27, an inter-school literary competition organised by The Somaiya School, Vidya Vihar, on August 7, 2026. The event brought together participants from 15 schools and featured four literary competitions that tested students' creativity, communication skills, critical thinking, and command over language.

The participants reported at the venue at 8 a.m., followed by registration, breakfast, and the inaugural ceremony. After the opening ceremony, the students proceeded to their respective venues for the competitions. The events were judged by a distinguished panel of experts from the fields of literature, storytelling, and the arts, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process.

The students of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School performed exceptionally well and secured the following positions:

First Position – Persuasion Punch (Group Category)

• Alinah Patel – XII Science B

• Kimaya Shitkar – XII Humanities

• Simra Fatima – IX B

• Johan Thomas – IX B

Second Position – Cover Quest

• Kashvi Sunil – XI Humanities

Second Position – Ink Sprint

• Christella Pereira – X A

With these achievements, Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, secured the highest number of prizes among all the participating schools and was honoured with the School Excellence Trophy by The Somaiya School, Vidya Vihar. The achievement reflects the students' hard work, confidence, and excellent teamwork throughout the competition.

The competition concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, followed by lunch for all the participants and teachers. As a token of appreciation, each participant received one complimentary book—either Animal Farm by George Orwell or Dhruv – Tara and the Great Indian History Quiz by Amish.

The students were accompanied by Tr Lisa Jimmy of the Senior Secondary English Department, who coordinated the school's participation in the event.

The competition provided the students with an enriching platform to enhance their literary skills, interact with peers from other schools, and gain valuable learning experiences. Their commendable performance brought laurels to the school and added another milestone to its pursuit of excellence.
