On June 20, 2026, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik successfully conducted its First General Body Meeting for the parents of students from Grades 1 to 9. The meeting aimed at fostering a strong partnership between parents and the school in ensuring the holistic growth and development of every child.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking God's blessings on the school community and the academic year ahead. This was followed by the introduction of the members of the Management. Subsequently, all the teaching staff introduced themselves, giving parents an opportunity to become acquainted with the educators guiding their children.
A special moment during the gathering was dedicated to expressing gratitude to the outgoing PTA members for their valuable service, commitment, and support rendered to the school during the previous academic year.
The educational session began with an insightful seminar conducted by Mrs Sneha on the theme of Education as Holistic Development. She emphasized that true education extends beyond academics and encompasses mental, social, physical, and spiritual development. Through her engaging presentation, she highlighted the importance of nurturing well-rounded individuals capable of facing life's challenges with confidence and integrity.
Following this, Mrs Anagha addressed the parents on the topic of Emotional Wellness. She explained the meaning of emotional well-being, discussed the factors that affect emotional health, and shared practical ways to manage emotions effectively and maintain a healthy balance in daily life. Her session provided valuable guidance for parents in supporting the emotional growth of their children.
The Principal, Fr Rixson, then addressed the gathering and spoke on two important contemporary topics—Digital Usage and Financial Literacy. He emphasized the need for responsible and balanced use of digital devices among children and highlighted the role of parents in monitoring and guiding their children's online activities. He also stressed the importance of financial literacy from an early age, encouraging parents to inculcate habits of responsible spending, saving, and financial awareness in their children.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the school's commitment to academic excellence, character formation, and the overall development of its students through active collaboration between parents and educators.
