Don Bosco English Medium School, Chhotaudepur celebrated International Yoga Day and Father's Day together through a unique and meaningful program titled “A Healthy Father Inspires a Healthy Family” The event provided a wonderful opportunity for fathers and children to spend quality time together while promoting the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and family bonding.
The program commenced with a prayer song that created a peaceful and joyful atmosphere. Following the prayer, the significance of Yoga was explained to all the participants. The gathering was reminded that Yoga is not only a form of physical exercise but also a way of achieving balance, discipline, and inner peace in daily life.
A special yoga session was then conducted for the fathers and children. Teachers Mrs Urvashi and Mrs Rehana guided the participants through various yoga asanas and exercises. Fathers enthusiastically joined their children in performing the movements, making the session both enjoyable and beneficial. Children whose fathers were present were invited to sit alongside them, strengthening the spirit of togetherness and participation.
Adding colour and excitement to the program, students presented two lively dance performances. The dances were well received and greatly appreciated by the audience for their energy and creativity.
To make the celebration more engaging, a series of fun-filled games were organized for the fathers. The activities brought laughter and excitement to the gathering and encouraged active participation from all. The fathers enjoyed the friendly competition and appreciated the opportunity to interact with their children in a joyful environment.
One of the most touching moments of the program came towards the end when the children presented handmade greeting cards to their fathers. These cards, prepared with love and care, expressed the children's gratitude and affection for their fathers, making the occasion truly memorable.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Mahindra Chavda, a representative of the parents.
