On August 1, 2026, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, organized the General Body Meeting, Investiture Ceremony, and Student Orientation Seminar. The programme was attended by the students of Classes XI and XII along with their parents, marking the beginning of the new academic year with a renewed sense of responsibility and commitment.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome followed by a graceful Prayer Dance, seeking God's blessings upon the institution and its students. The members of the management and the teaching staff were then introduced to the gathering, strengthening the bond between the school and parents.
The Investiture Ceremony was the highlight of the programme. The newly elected student council members were formally invested with badges of responsibility and leadership. They solemnly took the Oath of Office, pledging to carry out their duties with sincerity, integrity, and dedication while upholding the values of Don Bosco Junior College.
Following the ceremony, the Supervisor Tr Anagha addressed the students and parents on the rules and regulations of the college, emphasizing the importance of discipline, punctuality, academic excellence, and responsible conduct.
An enriching Student Orientation Seminar followed. Tr Sneha spoke on Holistic Development, encouraging students to nurture their intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. The Principal, Fr Rixson Nigrel, delivered an impactful session on Social Media Addiction and Financial Literacy, highlighting the need for responsible use of digital platforms, the dangers of excessive social media dependence, and the importance of developing sound financial habits from a young age. He encouraged students to use technology wisely, focus on their goals, and cultivate values that would prepare them for a successful future. Tr Anagha concluded the seminar with an inspiring talk on Emotional Well-being, guiding students on managing stress, building resilience, and maintaining a positive outlook.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, staff, parents, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The event served as an inspiring beginning to the academic year, encouraging students to embrace leadership, discipline, and holistic development while remaining committed to the ideals of Don Bosco.
