Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Naigaon East, solemnly conducted its Investiture Ceremony on July 15, 2026 to formally induct the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–27. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new journey of leadership, responsibility, and service as the young leaders pledged to uphold the values of the institution. The programme commenced with the march entry of the Student Council, followed by the welcome address and a graceful welcome dance. The lighting of the lamp, prayer dance, and responsorial prayers invoked God's blessings upon the newly elected leaders. The school proudly felicitated the SSC and HSC Board Examination toppers, along with their parents, in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. The Management congratulated the students for their hard work and perseverance and appreciated the unwavering support and encouragement of their parents in their success.
The solemn ceremony then continued with the blessing of the badges by the Rector, Fr Royal D'Abreo, after which the Principal, Fr Anthony Fonseca, administered the Oath of Office. The newly elected leaders were then invested through the pinning of badges, followed by the handing over of the House Flags to the House Captains. The ceremony was further enriched by the hymn, "Showers of Blessings."
Addressing the gathering, the Rector congratulated the newly invested leaders and reminded them that true leadership is rooted in humility, service, honesty, and compassion. He encouraged them to become role models who would inspire their fellow students through their words and actions.
The Principal, in his motivating address, congratulated the Student Council and appreciated their perseverance throughout the selection process. He highlighted that the elected leaders had undergone a series of leadership training programmes since April and had willingly participated in the captaincy elections, demonstrating their commitment to serving the school community. He urged them to lead with courage, responsibility, discipline, and the Salesian spirit of service.
The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks. More than the conferring of badges, the Investiture Ceremony celebrated the spirit of responsible leadership, teamwork, and selfless service. The Management and Staff wish the newly elected Student Council success as they lead the school with confidence, integrity, and the true Salesian spirit.
