The Women's Cell of St John Bosco Parish, Borivali organised a team building session for all its members on August 2, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event started with all of the members joining for a delicious breakfast followed by the session which began with a prayer invoking God’s presence. The day's Gospel reading was read by Hyacinth D'souza followed by a short reflection by Melissa Dcunha and Thanksgiving prayer by Nunilla Noronha. Cynthia Dsilva welcomed Ms Nithya Joseph, a famous Pyschologist from Vasai.
Ms Joseph quickly took over the floor, engaging the members in different team-building activities focused on communication, trust and problem solving. The whole event was full of exciting activities with inspirational insights. Ms Joseph kept the members engaged by giving them challenging activities one-on-one and as a group. She went along guiding them through various sessions on how to work on team building and personal bonding.
The sessions helped them to be open and learn how to become better persons. It showed them how to improve themselves in their personal lives and how to be responsible in their commitments towards the Women's Cell Group. All the members were delighted and actively participated in the interactive sessions and got a chance to know one-another better.
The best take-away gift they received from the session was the feedback activity form which highlighted the positive and improvement of self that was filled by every team member disclosing their personal thoughts and feelings about the group. This helped them to understand each one's potential better and strengthened their bonding.
The Women’s Cell members present were Cynthia, Marissa, Raiza, Mary, Janet, Irene, Sr Benedicta, Hyacinth, Nunilla, Melissa and Flavia, who actively participated in the session. The Women’s Cell members are highly grateful to Fr Manuel and Fr Vishal for their support in organising such an effective team-building workshop for them. This workshop turned out to be like a mini retreat experience for everyone, as it helped them to connect back to their roots and ponder on their inner self in a much stronger manner. It enabled them to be less judgemental, have mutual understanding and to make a collective effort to take responsibilities. It also taught them how to be a good listener, avoid conflict situations and be part of shared decision making. This session helped them be better persons and be responsible members who will reach out to support all the women of the Parish.
