“Education becomes truly meaningful when learning inspires children to act with love and make a difference.”

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the students of Standard IV at St. Dominic Savio High School, Andheri, presented a vibrant class exhibition on the inspiring theme, "Acting with Love," rooted in the school theme, "Do Whatever He Tells You – Faith in Action: Making a Difference." The exhibition showcased meaningful learning by encouraging students to put faith into action through love, compassion, and service, while fostering values that inspire them to become responsible and caring members of society.

The event commenced with a meaningful inaugural assembly that introduced the central theme of the exhibition. Through prayer and reflection, the gathering was reminded that faith is expressed through love, kindness, and service. The assembly featured a thought-provoking skit, a vibrant dance performance, and a special Behind the Scenes (BTS) presentation, showcasing the dedication, planning, and teamwork of the students, parents and teachers. The inaugural programme set an inspiring tone for the day’s celebrations and reflected the strong partnership between the school and families.

In his address to the gathering, Rector and Manager Fr Francisco Pereira appreciated the hard work of the students, parents and teachers and spoke about the meaningful exhibition themes. Referring to the skit, he encouraged students to become responsible citizens by learning values from a young age. He reflected on the growing individualism in society and urged everyone to care for others and build relationships instead of breaking them. He spoke about the walls of differences, technology, judgement and silence, reminding everyone to use technology wisely, avoid judging without understanding and raise their voices against injustice. He concluded by encouraging all to break down these walls, become agents of love, build bridges in their lives and communities, see others with an open heart and love as God loves each one of us.

Following the assembly, the school's own students and staff visited the exhibition, where the A.V. Hall had been transformed into vibrant centres of learning. Through interactive models, informative charts, creative displays, and PowerPoint presentations, students confidently presented themes such as Love for School Infrastructure, Responsible Citizenship, Love for Nature, Waste Management, Cyber Kindness, Food Sharing and Zero Hunger, AI for Good and Heroes of Faith. Every exhibit highlighted how love is reflected through responsible choices, respect for others, care for creation and service to the community.

More than an academic showcase, the exhibition provided students with opportunities to develop confidence, communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. As they interacted with visitors, they strengthened their presentation skills while recognising their role as responsible citizens and peace ambassadors.

The Standard IV Class Exhibition reflected the school’s vision of nurturing compassionate, responsible and faith-filled learners. It reinforced that when faith is lived through action, children grow into caring leaders and responsible citizens who make a meaningful difference in society.
