On the auspicious occasion of the feast of St. John Mary Vianney, the patron saint of priests, the Resurrection Church Virar East celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of the DB Avsar Office on August 2, 2026. Following the 8 a.m. Mass, the church community gathered to witness this momentous event, which aims to empower individuals in their career journeys.

The inauguration ceremony was filled with joy and anticipation as parishioners, local leaders, and the community members came together to mark the opening of the DB Avsar Office. Led by Fr Gregory D'Almeida, the event highlighted the church's commitment to supporting its community through career guidance and job placement services. Fr D'Almeida expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of helping individuals find meaningful employment and achieve their professional goals.

In a world where many young people face uncertainty about their future, DB Avsar seeks to accompany the youth with guidance, training, counselling, and placement opportunities. It is not merely an office but a ministry of hope that empowers the youth to discover their God-given gifts and become honest and responsible citizens. Db Avsar Cell is dedicated to helping members find meaningful employment and build better futures.

The initiative was inaugurated on August 2, 2026 by the Parish priest, Fr. Thomas Dcosta at the Resurrection Church premises and will be led by Fr. Gregory D’Almeida, Assistant Parish Priest and Administrator, with the support of the Salesian Province of Mumbai.

Don Bosco – AVSAR will connect job seekers with suitable employment opportunities, provide guidance in their job search, and build a network of employers and professionals willing to create opportunities for others.
